Saturday Stack: Man I Such At Book Challenges

Bookstagram Things I Kind of Suck At: Prompt Challenges!

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good book prompt/challenge/hashtag but when you are travelling every other week, and you have a bad habit of not jotting down a note to remind yourself (SO BAD for this, honestly Candice, get your life together, your a professional detail wrangler), you find yourself missing out on all the damn fun all the damn time. And did I mention I have the WORST FOMO? I hate missing out!! It’s like torture! I wanna play!

So here I am, feeling like an absolute ROCKSTAR this morning, because not only am I AT HOME, not only did I remember @scaredstraightreads October challenge, but I actually remembered it ON A SATURDAY, which is moderately critical when it’s a #SpookySaturday theme.

And this prompt is my JAM Y’ALL - you know my passion for thrillers runs deep. And I had seasonal props! And a mug that’s on theme! And good lighting! I effing NAILED IT!

Based on all the above submitted evidence, I’m 93% confident that makes me the Queen of Bookstagram for one day and I promise to take my job very seriously.

Oh yeah. These are also some of my all time fave/new fave seasonally appropriate spooky reads, and I would 10 out of 10 recommend you not read them immediately before taking your dog outside in the pitch black night to pee, scaring the bejeezus out of yourself when a coyote howls and a bunch of leaves drop off a tree near you simultaneously, and no I did not pee myself a tiny bit (ok yes I did, but you can’t judge me YOU WEREN’T THERE). Happy Saturday buddies! What are your fave spooky reads? xx
