After a long week of being on the road for work, and a long day of travel home yesterday, I celebrated being back home by.....sleeping. For like, 14 hours. 😂 I don’t even feel bad about it because I CLEARLY needed it - my body was in full shut-down mode and I wasn’t about to argue.
Today I feel much more rested and back to myself. However I know me - I know I could jump back into a crazy to-do list (settling in after the move still needs some work, no question) but I also know I still have a VERY BUSY 8 weeks ahead of me before I get a real break in my schedule. So today, I am keeping myself in low gear. That means lazy coffees in my reading nook, while diving into this MUCH ANTICIPATED new book by one of my all-time faves @gillymacmillan (thank you @williammorrowbooks for the copy!). It means cuddles with Vinny + the kitties. It means a lazy late brunch when I feel motivated to move. It means naps if I feel like it. It means letting my body dictate the pace for once. Balance friends. It’s work to achieve, but it’s worth it to stay healthy, energized and happy.
