The Care & Feeding of Ravenously Hungry Girls by Anissa Gray
This book. MAGNIFICENT - my word, I had heard good reviews and nothing at all prepared me for diving headfirst into this family.
There are so many things to say about this story - the compelling nature of the story itself (a crime that could have been pulled from the headlines), the heartbreak of watching a family navigate a tragedy that has ripped them apart, the messy reality of family loyalty, dynamic and history.
The one downside to IG is there just isn’t enough room on here to really dive into everything I adore about this book and do it justice, so please go visit my blog or Goodreads to see my full review. The short version is that everything about this book is so wonderfully done, and I feel like I could debate this book, the characters, their decisions and their mistakes to no end. I cannot recommend this book more to you. This should be on every single TBR out there. I promise you, it does not disappoint.
Thank you too, to @diversespines for hosting a chat on this one yesterday. Be sure to pop over there to get in on the discussion. It’s a good one.
This was also my April #unreadshelfproject2019 book, and LO AND BEHOLD, I finished it well before the end of the month! YAY ME! I shall celebrate by getting MORE BOOKS! 😂😂😂
QOTD: Unrelated note - I’m working on creating some new playlists this week so pop in to tell me what you’ve been jamming to lately. I need some fresh tunes.
Happy Monday friends!!!!
