Black Water by Whitney Skoreyko
Thank you to Whitney for sending me a copy of this one - all opinions are my own.
This is an EXCELLENT debut novel from Whitney Skoreyko! I was thrilled to jump into this one and discover that it was the perfect mix of character drama, suspense and tension to ensure I couldn't put it down until I devoured the entire thing.
Synopsis: A year after Hannah's twin brother dies, and struggling to cope, Hannah suddenly finds herself in a strange situation with a beautiful strange man and a series of increasingly ominous warnings to stay away from him.
I tore through this one, as I was curious to see exactly who the man with green eyes was, and who were the good and bad guys. I never saw the twists coming, and just when I expected to have things figured out, something new would come to light.
I love how Whitney writes relatable and human characters who are as flawed as they are genuine. I also loved how the book moved between character perspectives, so you were able to see how the events were just slightly different from what you first assumed.
Overall, I completely enjoyed this and would absolutely recommend for suspense readers everywhere!
