Halloween Planning & A Spooky Recharge

Halloween Planning & A Spooky Recharge

I have big plans this weekend leading up to Halloween, including:

πŸŽƒ Watching Hocus Pocus

πŸŽƒ Watching Practical Magic

πŸŽƒ Reading this stack of books

πŸŽƒ Drinking this Pumpkin Spice Whiskey

πŸŽƒ Making my costume

πŸŽƒ Eating tiny chocolate bars guilt free

πŸŽƒ Exclusively wearing sweaters

πŸŽƒ Repeating as necessary

Which covers off all my favorite Halloween activities, and also makes for a pretty glorious weekend in my opinion. πŸ˜‰

I honestly don’t feel at all like its Halloween unless I have watched both Hocus Pocus and Practical Magic several times. There is something about those movies that is completely timeless for me - in the same way I have specific Christmas movies I suppose. And those movies are about as close to a scary watch as I am going to get. When I was much younger, I used to ADORE a good slasher/horror film, but the older I get the less of a stomach I have for them. Now they bother me more. I don’t enjoy being scared. I don’t enjoy feeling tense for 2 hours. I’m not sure what changed or why - maybe its that there is enough bad in the world I don’t need to watch more for entertainment.

Or maybe because I’m a huge chicken shit and I know that in turn I will be up half the night analyzing all the random sounds in the house. πŸ˜‰

In any case, I like my Halloween traditions and I am ready to dive into a weekend of fun, while I get ready for the Halloween party weekend next week.

What are you up to this weekend friends?

Happy Friday! We made it! Time to soak up every ounce of weekend!!! πŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸŽƒ
