Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I write about books, food, wine and travel.

Come hang out with me.

Summer Snow Day

Summer Snow Day

I honestly can’t even say I’m minding this little snow blast we are having here this week, because, not only is it super pretty, it just means I have all the reasons in the world to get home and curl up with a book. ❄️

I do genuinely wish we still got snow days like we did when we were kids in school. I won’t lie, when it first started to snow, my first instinct was to consider not making the drive to work the next day. Except that this is pretty mild, and I would rather save those home days for the big blizzards I know are headed our way in a few short months. Nonetheless, how great would it be to have an unexpected snow day off of work, no guilt and no vacation days required? ❄️

Until then, I am going to find the silver lining to the summer snow, and really enjoy just how pretty it is, how calm and crisp it has made outside feel, and be grateful because it truly has been a dry year, and the moisture is very badly needed. ❄️

Besides, who can be grumpy when you have a book like this beauty (thank you @houseofanansi !) - this makes the perfect date for a snowy night in. I just need my socks, my wine and my blanket and I am set. ❄️

What are you guys reading right now? ❄️

Happy Thursday!!! ❄️❄️❄️
