Weekend Recharge + The Unrepentant
What a crazy week! I feel like it’s been beyond jam packed and I am very, very ready for the weekend to recharge and dive into reading!
Thanks to @jkscommunications for sending this one over - I’m very excited to spend some quiet time cuddling Vinny and devouring a few more chapters (this one is so intriguing!) tonight. I’m also in love with the new blooms on my trees and I’m planning on reading right by this tree so I can enjoy them. Truly my favourite way to mentally unwind is to flop down somewhere (Nature is always a bonus) with a book.
QOTD: Do you guys like to read as a de-stresser? Or is trying to get into a book when your tired too much effort? I can flip back and forth between these two moods, but I will always give reading a shot as my go-to relaxation activity. If that fails, there’s always my old friend Netflix. 😂
Happy Thursday friends! Feeling those weekend vibes and sending out the love! 💕
They never expected her to fight back…
Eighteen-year old Charlotte Reyes ran away from an abusive home only to end up tricked, kidnapped, and taken across the country by criminals. Charlotte manages to escape with the help of a reluctant former soldier named Mace Peterson, but she can’t seem to shake the gang or the crooked cop paid to bring her back—alive or otherwise. With nowhere to run and nowhere to hide, Charlotte realizes she only has one option. She has to fight.
Set in the Virginia, Maryland, D.C. triangle, The Unrepentant combines page-gripping action and black comedy, and provides a no-holds-barred, necessary examination of the dark corners of the human mind.
