HOLY HELL you guys - this book! THIS BOOK! πŸ’₯

Thank you @hodderbooks for sending this my way. And keeping me up ALL DAMN NIGHT. πŸ˜‚

No lies, I was expecting your standard fare, psychological thriller about a toxic friendship between two women, and somehow I found myself smack dab in the middle of the craziest psychopathic thriller I have read in AGES. One of those stories that starts out almost exactly like you are expecting, and suddenly you realize we aren’t in Kansas anymore Toto. πŸ’₯

I literally can't review this particular story at all in depth, as it would give away key secrets to the plot, but I will say that I am very used to thrillers where the twists come at you in the last third of the book. Not this story though, no ma'am. This story had crazy ass twists coming at you from the beginning. It is the wildest ride. That alone makes this a completely unique read - this subtle deviation from standard form, which means you start questioning everything you think you know IMMEDIATELY. I fell into this story and then I could not stop reading this story. It was impossible to put down until I found out how it played out. πŸ’₯

The one thing I can say, without fear of spoiler, is that I am LOVING a book that is set in very current timelines - there is something really fun about reading a story that could arguably be taking place right now. The technology and pop culture references in this are spot on (I'm looking at you @chrishemsworth) and that makes it a slightly more fun read for me. πŸ’₯

I can also say that I loved what a fast read this was. It was a story I literally devoured in part because it was just so easy to read. Sarah has a writing style that very much suits me as a reader, and I will be following her work religiously from now on. πŸ’₯

But other than that, my lips are sealed. Just GET THIS BOOK, and I defy you to put it down once you fall into the story. A 2019 MUST READ, hands down. πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

QOTD: What is the last book that surprised the bejeezus out of you? πŸ’₯

Happy Friday friends!
