Saturday - Book Bestie Demands!
When your book bestie tells you to drop everything and finish a book because there is much to be discussed......you drop everything and get reading. 😂
Don’t you worry @prose_and_palate I am on THEE WAY. 😘
I picked up The Hiding Place this week as its our February @northernlightsreads pick - and I’ve been really excited for it as I LOOOOOVED The Chalk Man by CJ Tudor. I’ve heard good things so far on this one, mostly that it feels very much like a Stephen King book, which is fine by me. That man can do no wrong when it comes to literature.
I’m also happy to dive into something I am confident I am going to love, considering this week included a bit of a lackluster (and very long) read of a romance thriller……which is a genre I didn’t know existed, and turns out, is a genre I don’t really love (only because I am not a romance reader, its just not my thing). To be able to dive into my go-to genre with this one and get my reading mind reset is perfect. I don’t want to stay in the mental logged space of a book that didn’t click with me.
Mostly I am excited because I love a book that sparks debate and I’m pretty sure this book will be one of those considering people are already saying they have THOUGHTS. That is only ever a great sign for a good discussion! 😂
QOTD: What’s the last book you HAD to talk about with someone when you finished because you had serious thoughts?
Happy Saturday y’all! I hope you guys are also reading along with this one for our @northernlightsreads chat later this month!💙
