My Awfully Wedded Husband by Minerva Stewart

My Awfully Wedded Husband by Minerva Stewart

Thank you so much to Minerva to sending me a copy of this book and bringing these women into my life - all opinions are my own!

This book is 100 percent, without hesitation, pure, terrific, wonderful entertainment. I flew through this book in one afternoon, as it was such a blast to dip into these four women's lives.

Each of the four women are experiencing a breakdown in their relationship, which brings them to lean on one another to find a path forward to a new kind of life, and honestly any book with a strong and caring female friendship in the center of it is a book that I am here for. I loved how the women were able to demonstrate support for one another, while still being able to kick one another in the butt when needed, and to provide a mix of tough love and gentle reassurance when needed. You genuinely can believe that these women love one another and want to help each other get to the other side, despite their own suffering at any point.

Not to mention, the schemes they come up with to wield their revenge are nothing short of pure, delightful entertainment to watch unfold. I laughed out loud more than once, and I wish someone would make this into a movie. I spent the entire time rooting for each of them to find a new kind of happy ending, and just LOVED how the book wrapped up the loose ends of the story.

Complicated, flawed, human female leads are something that I enjoy so, so much and I could read dozens more books with characters like the one that Minerva writes. They are real in a tangible way, and you could appreciate that they were going to make mistakes, but that those mistakes didn't make them bad people.

Overall, this is one that should be on your radar if you love a good piece of light entertainment to wile away an afternoon with a cup of tea and some new friends.
