The Homecoming by Andrew Pyper
Reading socks, perfect for those days when it’s a sunny Sunday, but a little windy and cool, but you really, really want to sit outside and read. 😎
Mini-review moment coming at you: @jennieshaw assured me I should absolutely read The Homecoming and should absolutely not read it at home alone. So right on both counts. 😂 This book is the perfect amount of thriller + horror for me - I was on edge the entire time (which was one sitting because I could NOT set this down; I was ALL IN) and I was the perfect amount of totally freaked out. I love a book that is dark and atmospheric and makes me feel like I’m literally in the setting of the book. This story does exactly that, which is exactly why reading it at home, alone, in the dark would be a terrible choice. 😂
I loved the characters, the twists and the fact that I could NOT have guessed where this story was going. Exactly what I love in my thrillers. And that’s all I’m gonna say because you know my stance on even hinty spoilers for thriller reads!
This is high of my recommendation list friends. Grab this one for a book that you will not want to set down. But don’t read it alone in the dark. 😂
Now. Back to my Sunday Funday and getting my sunshine vibes! Hope y’all are having a great day!
