Slow Down Sock Sunday
Happy, happy #socksunday friends!
Today, I decided to take my own good advice and unplug for the morning. No social media, no internet browsing, no email - just my coffee and my book and my socks and my recharge hours. It has been magnificent.
There have been good conversations on here recently about how much people post and if you ever feel guilty not posting. Truthfully, I never feel guilty when I don’t have AS MUCH time to post as often as I want. I do miss you awesome peeps, but I also take those times to remind myself that real life is a more important space to be plugged in than online life. Which led me to taking the space to plug into real life this morning before coming to visit my book world.
Now I feel more well rounded and better overall. I know that this isn’t my optimal Sunday posting time, but that’s ok, it’s also important to remember that I’m posting for me (and my friends) not for the algorithm. I know that I might have missed some good Sunday posts this morning, but that’s ok, that gives me a reason to seek my friends pages out and consciously engage with their content. I know that I might spend a bit more time scrolling now to catch up, but that’s ok because I had a wonderful mental rest from it all this morning.
All to say, I’m having a WONDERFUL Sunday, and I hope y’all are too. I hope you are finding the space and grace with yourself to engage in this community in healthy and fulfilling ways. I hope you’re not apologizing for not posting & not panicking that you are missing out. I hope that you are as plugged into your real world as you are your book world. And I hope you are getting rested and ready to tackle an amazing new week.
Have an amazing afternoon my friends - feel free to stop by to chat about what y’all are up to today and what’s coming up this week so we can celebrate real life in all it’s messy joy. xx
