B A L A N C E - the key to the madness that is my life.
I work hard to try to find balance in the pacing of my day-to-day. I’m a naturally energetic person, I LOVE socializing, and I’m very much someone who believes in tackling life and living it to its fullest. That can result in pretty frenetic weeks, which is why it’s so important to me to carve out downtime for myself. Quiet time. Time to genuinely s l o w d o w n and get present with myself. It might not be a ton of time, but a little chunk here and there does wonders for keeping my battery charged and my cup full.
Yesterday I spent the day working the Dog City Fest, which was busy and crazy and loud and so much fun. I think I cuddled a thousand dogs. I came home sweaty, covered in slobber, bug spray and sunscreen, and in the best mood ever.
Today, I’m balancing that out by starting my day on my front porch, with my coffee, my latest read (thanks @flatiron_books !) and my quiet. I feel refreshed already.
What about you friends? Do you have specific ways to create time for yourself so you don’t get burnt out? Ways to treat yo’self? I want to hear them all! I think I deserve a little extra TLC!
